In recent years, neurosurgeons in Moscow have started operating on patients with Low Back Pain (LBP) more often than ever before. This dangerous tendency, apart from pure economic considerations, has its disadvantages from the medical point of view as well. Most doctors are of the opinion that LBP is mainly caused by the herniation of intravertebral discs. But research in recent years has proved otherwise. The underlying cause of pain are the bones in the affected parts.

We at our department have developed a new theory on the causes and treatment of Neuroorthopedic syndromes. This theory explain efficiency of such well known methods of treatment as physiotherapy and acupuncture apart from new methods such as periostal and intraosseous blockades. We have been using these techniques in the treatment of LBP and facial pain as well as in different forms of headaches, joint pains and vertebrogenous pains.

This novel method of ours in which we treat the affected bone has been proven to alleviate the pain in even the most serious of patients and thus help them avoid expensive and, at times not very safe, Neurosurgical procedures.

This new method of treatment developed by us is unique and is not used in Europe and USA. So our plans for the future include getting information on this method through to people who are ready to support our endeavor as this system of treatment has the potential to be introduced into everyday clinical practice worldwide and thus help in the treatment of millions of patients all over the world.
